The Clock Lady

Hello everyone,
Wishing all of you a good weekend. Wherever you are I hope you get sunshine :)
Today I am happy to showcase Guest Designer Karen Clare a.k.a. The Clock Lady. I saw her mixed media creations a little while ago and was especially drawn to her amazing clocks. They are something completely different. I asked her to do a guest spot with some of my designs and have been excited to see what she would come up with. Here is the result. Just love it!
I wasn't expecting her to combine all of the stamps that I sent in one epic piece! It was a really nice surprise. She combined them beautifully. Karen explains how she put it all together on her blog HERE. Below are the designs that she used from my collection.

The Mateial list for this project:

  • MDF scallop square clock base, movement & hands, laser cut MDF numerals
  • White stamping card
  • Pink & Maroon cardstock
  • Distress ink pads, worn lipstick, walnut stain, victorian velvet, tattered rose
  • Gold embossing paste
  • Various patterned masks/stencils
  • Clear embossing powder
  • Platinum Stickles
  • Seam binding
  • Hat pins
  • Scrim
  • Tim Holtz Eiffel Tower and French Script texture fades embossing folder
  • Spellbinders Poinsettia and Girlie Grunge labels dies
  • Meltpot & beeswax

A little bit about the Artist...

"I'm Karen, live in Kent UK
I've always been an avid crafter, making keepsake gifts and cards for friends and family.
Now lucky enough to have established myself in the crafting world and found a niche as a craft designer, tutor and demonstrator.
About 3 years ago I started making CD mounted clocks using rubber stamping and decoupage.
They became very popular and as interest in them grew I soon became known as The Clock Lady.
I progressed to larger style MDF clocks and gave just started experimenting with altered art projects.
I love working with Ryn's stamps, the quality is second to none and the designs are just that little bit different and great for Art Journaling too.
Thank you Ryn for giving me the opportunity to work with such lovely products."
A big thank you to Karen to making this awesome project :D If you liked Karen's clock creation I'm sure she would love it if you stopped by her blog HERE.
Bye for now,
Ryn

February Sales and Customer Creation Draw Winner!

Hello everyone :)

I have just reduced three different stamps by 50% for the month of February. I decided to go with a sea theme for this batch...

Butterfly Fish - $4.49

Octopus - $4.49
Cardinalfish - $4.49

And now for the winner of January's Customer Creation Draw... Wilma Voermans! Thanks so much for sending in your art last month Wilma :) Her sent in project is below using Silhouette Dove Set from my collection of stamps. Also, here is a link to Wilma's blog. Her mixed media art is stunning! Highly recommend popping over for a visit HERE.

If you haven't heard of the Customer Creation Draw yet here are the guidelines...

All you have to do is send in a photo of something that you've made using my stamps. It can be anything at all and can use stamps from other companies as long as one of my designs is clearly visible. I will showcase your art in my Customer Creation blog posts (unless you ask me not to) with a credit to you and link to your blog. Don't forget to send that along as well. At the end of each month I will randomly pick out an entry and will send along a free stamp to the creator. Many thanks for sharing inspiration with the online community :)

That's it for now. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by and a big congratulations to Wilma!

Bye for now,

Ryn
